Our treatment programs for men are far from a solo journey for our male residents who receive strong support from our experienced and highly skilled drug rehab staff - many of whom have won their own battles with addiction. Our staff members have been selected because based on training, sensitivity and commitment. Our staff understands the disease of addiction and its behavioral manifestations. Sunrise Recovery has a 1.5 to 1 staff to client ratio. Our center has certified counselors present with the men in treatment 24 hours a day.
Keith Miller, Program Director :: BS, CADC II, ICADC

Keith has 17 years of experience in managing behavioral health treatment facilities. In addition to managing the daily clinical operations of Sunrise Recovery Keith also oversees:
- CARF accreditation attainment
- Quality compliance
- Program development
- Operational management,
- Addictions counseling
Since Sunrise Recovery opened in 2001, Keith has been involved in all operational and clinical decisions that affect Sunrise and its clientele. Keith has always been a hands-on leader who takes great pleasure in interacting with all of the clients and their families during the course of treatment and personal growth.
Keith currently holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and is also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor II with the California Association of Alcohol and Drug Counselors. In addition, he is presently working towards his masters in business administration.
Laurie L. Dent-Snyder Marriage and Family Therapist Intern :: MFTi, CADC II

Laurie has worked in the field of addictions for over 16-years. She
has worked in many forums of chemical dependency. Laurie has managed
residential and outpatient programs and coordinated treatment programs
for a number of other services including dual diagnosis.
Laurie
is a Certified Recovery Program Manager and a California Certified
Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Laurie is also Licensed with the California
Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern.
Laurie is working towards her Doctorate in Organizational Psychology.
Todd Wall, Case Manager :: CADC II

Todd is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Todd is also the Examonier for the California Association of Drug and Alcohol Counselors (CAADAC). Todd has been working in the field of recovery for over 8 years and is a certified interventionist. Todd specializes in counseling dual diagnosis clients in a residential treatment setting.
Todd brings a myriad of skills to his role as a case manager. He is a skilled group facilitator and educator with extensive knowledge of 12-Step recovery principles. Todd excels at establishing therapeutic alliances with his clients. An avid sports fan, Todd also assists in coordinating outside activities for Sunrise ranch clients.
Juan R. Acedo, Jr., Case Manager :: CADCA I, CAS, NCAC I

Juan earned his Drug and Alcohol Counseling Certificate from California Paramedical and Technical College and is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor with the California Association of Alcohol and Drug Counselors. Juan is also a Certified Addictions Specialist with the California Association of Addiction Recovery Resources.
Juan has over seven years of experience in counseling recovering individuals. Specializing in life skills and relapse prevention, Juan combines this knowledge with his vast knowledge of 12 step recovery programs to provide excellent counseling services to clients of Sunrise Recovery. He establishes strong therapeutic bonds with those residents for whom he provides services. Juan is active in the recovery community and is President of Alumni with the Recovery Opportunity Center in Riverside.
Evan Miller, Clinical Director for Extended Care (Newport Beach) :: MA
Ph.D Candidate, Clinical Psychology

Evan specializes in the treatment of addiction from a psychodynamic perspective, taking into account the complex underlying issues in each client’s pathology. Evan has an extensive background in psychological assessment, evidence-based treatment initiatives, and applied athletic performance enhancement.
Evan is currently completing his doctorate in clinical psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute where his dissertation focuses on a re-visioning of contemporary sport psychology from a depth psychological perspective. His research areas include Axis-II personality disorders, archetypal theory, chemical dependency and co-occurring disorders, and depth-oriented sport psychology.
Jeff Reyes, Intake Coordinator :: B.S. (Behavioral Science)

It is very likely that Jeff will be the friendly voice at the other end of the line when you call our admissions team to ask questions about the treatment process. Jeff is patient and caring with the families he interacts with.
Jeff is a graduate from Loma Linda University and has worked in the Behavioral Health field for over 10 years. Jeff has experience working with adolescents and adults at every level of care from outpatient treatment through hospitalization.
Danielle Farnsworth, Director of Insurance and Facility Licensing Compliance :: CADC-II, CATC, CCJP, SAP

Danielle is a force of nature when it comes to dealing with insurance and overseeing facility licensing compliance. She has been working in the field of treatment for a decade in a wide variety of roles including Program Director for residential treatment centers and a detox.
Danielle served on the CAADAC Board of Directors and served as the Quality Assurance Chairperson for CAADAC.
Becky Gordon, Nurse :: RN

Becky is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelors degree in Nursing. She has clinical experience in a variety of nursing specialties including medical/surgical, psychiatric/mental health, neonatal/pediatric, and community health nursing. Becky's goal in working with people in recovery is to make them feel physically comfortable so that they can concentrate on the mental and emotional aspects of getting well. She enjoys being a part of the client’s pathway to health and strives to be a resource to any person who is need of care.
Edwin Suarez, Chef
"I love preparing healthy and nutritious meals for people who are in recovery." - Edwin Suarez.
Edwin is a native of South America and brings over two decades of food preparation and experience to the Sunrise Recovery kitchen. Edwin is experienced in preparing and serving a variety of cuisines from many cultures, including North and South American, European, and Asian. Edwin provides a nutritious and varied menu as well as creating delicious desserts from several continents.
